Quick drive-by post... still working on my SPN finale episode review, probably get that finished and posted next week.
Work still keeping me busy, but I finally got a long overdue raise, so that was good news last week, yay!
Aaaand... that's about it for the moment, have some new hires at work that should really help share the load once we finish getting them trained up, I am excited about that. No more OT days needed unless truly extenuating circumstances prevail. Yay again!

Current Mood: accomplished
Well, I meant to finish my SPN review, but instead I buckled down and did my taxes. So. ALL DONE, one week prior to T-day. Ha! I think I beat my own usual record of 2 or 3 days prior to deadline. Now, back to the more fun and interesting agenda of working on my review...

Whew! I am finally all caught up, and just in time for our new run of SPN episodes that will be starting again this week on our new/old night, Wednesday.
Also, LJ is not playing nice right now, I had to change my browser just to post my review, which for a non-tech-savy person took a wee bit of research. Grr. But, yay! All caught up, and raring for the new eps! Anyway, onward with my review:

Way overdue, but at long last I am getting back in gear to finish catching up on SPN, here goes where I left off.
SPN 10.09 The Things We Left Behind( Read more...Collapse )
Whew! I got a bit roadblocked for various reasons on getting this review completed, but here we are - finally! I have not watched the next episodes yet, that has been my carrot to help me get caught up. Next up: 10.10 Diving in now!

Flyby update - life has been keeping me crazy busy, specifically work. People quitting, new people in training, etc. Been working 9-10 hour days for the past couple weeks, also worked this Saturday training, and next week doesn't look any lighter. It doesn't sound like the worst schedule ever, and I don't mean to complain. Plenty others have it way worse. I guess I'd just like a life that has a little more than work, go home and crash, then start the cycle over again. Lather, rinse and repeat. Part of why I'm busting my tail so hard is because I'm trying to get caught up to the point that I CAN actually have some normal free time to be myself, indulge my interests away from work, all that jazz. Right now I don't know what I even want to do with this imagined free time besides sleep, but heck, I'll take that even. And some time to spend hanging out with my family. Rewatch some SPN - this season has me itching to pull out past seasons' DVDs and dive in again from the beginning. Have not been able to do that yet (although I have cheated and done some limited watching of select past episodes). Also need to be able to watch the Parks and Recreation S6 DVDs I checked out from my library that need to be viewed before they become overdue. SPN is the ONLY show I have been able to stay current with, my other shows that I like just haven't been getting watched due to lack of time and energy. My mental focus has a very limited threshold right now. I would love to catch up on Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, The Flash, Arrow and I'm sure there are other shows out there I am missing.
Speaking of SPN -- my review of 10.09 is going to be slightly delayed. I've seen the ep, my head is spinning, trying to organize my thoughts, and since we've hit winter hellatus I'm not going to stress myself out pushing to get the review done right this second. Hopefully within the next couple of days. SPN has been a very bright spot this fall for me, thank you SPN cast and crew for the fantastic season we've received so far. :)
Oh, also happy-making for me: my How To Train Your Dragon II DVD. Now I need to buy Guardians of the Galaxy. Best Buy had the best sale price at $9.99 for regular DVDs, but they were sold out and I could not backorder one. So. Contemplating my options there. Who to give my hard-earned moolah to. Decisions, decisions.
Anyway, hope the F-list is doing well, and I will be back very soon with my SPN review.
