Some verra brief thoughts on this week's eps. of:
Castle
Nice that Castle didn't get into a huge pissing context with Beckett's ex. Sure, he was a little smartass, but it didn't go beyond that. Thank you writers, for not going with that over-tired and annoying cliche.
That moment when Beckett told him to go home to his daughter... and HE LEFT. Without argument or attitude. I think that's my favorite moment of the show so far. I love the comedy, but I love even more when we get a moment that plays real and character revealing all at the same time.
House
Cameron has lost her freaking mind. She needs to get a handle on her issues BEFORE she accepts a proposal, not ... what she seems to be doing. Which may be a passive/aggressive way to continue what she's done before -- put Chase in the position of rejecting her so she doesn't have to admit what her real issues are. I dunno. Chase definitely needs to not marry her at least until she figures herself out better.
Criminal Minds
Okay, I may have been just a wee bit distracted with the floating thought of "killer racist truck" interfering with the episode's revenge/guilt-obsessed unsub.
It was a good episode, but that was just a bit of prior viewing habits perhaps coming back to bite me in the butt and making me want to giggle.
I loved that the guy who thought he was guilty was allowed to find a little redemption for himself at the end. He'll face consequences, but he can now look at himself in the mirror. I'm a huge fan of redemption themes. And the contrast of the guy who couldn't face his own guilt and turned monster vs the guy who was self-destructively consumed by guilt but ultimately faced up to the truth and found that taking responsibility for his actions freed him from the prison of guilt/self-loathing.
Because tragedies happen, but how we react to them is still a choice.
Oooh, sneaky Garcia, sabotaging Kevin's interview. Not a cool thing to do, but I also like the fact that she's at least willing to make an effort to hold onto her relationship. She needs to find a better way to go about it, however. No cookie for Garcia this week. At least we don't have to lose Xander, I mean -- Kevin, not yet.
Dude. I am seriously considering cracking and going the spoiler whore route for SPN. I just... arrgh. Don't trust Kripke. He's going to hurt us. We know this. But I still want the *gasp* of the whammy. Clearly, I need help. Dammit. What to do, what to do...
